Default She's here (1984 targa)

Hi friends,

She's here and I am really happy! I just swapped my 01 986 S for this 84 Carrera and I am convinced I did the right choice given my taste and usage

Couple questions:

- I would like to find a deck lid without a spoiler, where should I look for one?

- Any bodyshop recommendations in San Francisco? I need the bumper and a couple of other things to be refreshed

Thanks,

Nice,..a beaut! I'd not lose that tail, however.

ENJOY!

Carrera tails (real ones) are worth big money. >1000 - and guards red is a popular color.

I personally do not like Targas unless they are without a tail - or with a ducktail =

That is a stunning Carrera. Curious how those seats look like SC seats. Must be an early build?

Does it say Carrera on the tail? I was wondering, because it would have both targa and carrera emblems.

Dude, I know exactly where you live. The shot with the Transamerica building is pure Pr0n.

That is pretty typical. The only place they say Targa is on the bar.

That is a gorgeous car, definitely nicer than any Boxster (and we have one in the garage!)

Keep the tail. Looks best with the top off, IMO.

Nice ride!

Congratulations. Paint looks to be in pristine condition. It takes good driving skills to drive such cars in the roads of San Fran. I have no question in my mind ... you will love this car. It is an immersive experience.

first congrats... I too think you made a good choice!

second, its new to you and summer is near, I advise driving it and let the refresh paint wait till fall/winter. Deck lids are everywhere and yours is desireable, easy swap

Very nice and I too delt with the wing/no wing issue. Getting a second decklid is the way to go so you can swap out if you ever want to have a change. I currently have my wing hanging in my warehouse as an object-or-art.

Nice find.
