Post Who has replaced a fuel accumulator on an SC?

I think I have a bad accumulator on my "80"SC.
I had a defective fuel pump and replaced it today. I went to start the car, I hear the new pump come on and the car starts for just a second and dies. I pushed up on the pressure plate in the airbox and felt some pressure, the car started for a second and died.

If you have had similar problems, please let me know what you did to fix it. In the last 3 months I have replaced the fuel filter and pump.

DO NOT RUN YOUR 911 OUT OF GAS!!!!!!!!

Thanks.

Cool

Gregg: I'm not an expert but had a simular problem with my 80SC.It would start cold but if you stopped for 45 mins and tryed to re-start it would maybe run a second and then die and then just crank. My mechanic( Claus @ NARW in Reseda) replace the fuel pump check valve and the fuel pressure accumulator and filter and it's fine now.
Take a deep breath or something? and good luck Bob
