Default First Drive of the Spring

Compared to a lot of you spring time does not come real early on the prairies of southern Canada. Some photos from today's first drive. The snow is down in the Cypress Hills on the AB / SK border.

What's winter?

We moved down to NC from Maine a couple years ago to escape that white stuff. One of the best days ever was when I sold my snow blower...

Glad you enjoyed that first drive! I remember the thrill of pulling my motorcycle out of the garage for that first ride in Maine.

BTW, love the color of your car. What's it called?

Spring arrived today in SoCal, I think. I took Ruby to the store via a 20 minute scenic route through a few twistys, enough to make the tire feel like they weren't square bricks. A few runs to "the red" in third felt good.

I'm starting to figure out how you northerners feel.

It is great to get that first drive in. Likewise I got my first run today...the car had been parked for 4 months. Up to Boulder, down to Golden and back to the Springs...180 fun-filled miles.
