Engine finally out
I was going to drop the engine last weekend, but I busted my old torque wrench trying to crack the wheel hub nuts on the axles. I went to Princess Auto last night and got a 3 foot long 3/4" drive breaker bar, and they came off like butter this morning, Hahaha!
Had a devil of a time getting the muffler off. It was interfering with the lowering of the motorcycle jack. Once that was out of the way I was able to get the thing all the way down and had about an inch clearance to roll it out from under the car.
As you can see by the dirt, oil, and rusty tin, I have my work cut out for me.
Now the real fun begins.
What was simply a clutch job (yeah right) is becoming a growing list of little things that should be done while it's out.

Good job. Like Scott said, it's fun...enjoy yourself and take your time. Yea, the list might grow but thats part of the fun. Just look forward to when it's all back together; you don't want to have a nagging feeling you left something out.

Now it's a just a shiny chunk of metal. LOL
My old Acura worked the same way. The hand brake actuated the rear disks, and the mechanism self adjusted to keep up with the pad wear. In order to get the piston back into the calliper, you would "screw" it back in.

Nice work! My nicest wrench is a 3/4" drive Wright that I got specifically for that hub nut. I stand on the handle with my lard-butt 190ish pounds to get it tightened up.
