My 1988 911 has been plagued with stalling/not starting problems for over a year. As A new owner I want to love the car but it is playing hard to get.
I replaced the DME relay, and the temperature and speed sensors. My mechanic suggests it is the computer.

Anything else I should know or do before I ship the computer out for repairs?
Who should I used for repairs?

I do have a Steve Wong chip. It was in the car when I bought it.

I have had much good luck with Specialized ECU, but there are many others, including Steve Wong, Loren at systemsc.com, and a guy named Ingo at the Pelican board, who has become something of a saint on "no start" problems.
