The closest place that can do Porsche heads properly is Ollie's Machining in Lake Havasu City.

If that doesn't work out; Engine Machine Service (EMS) in Inglewood, CA, (310) 641-7019. Talk to Bill or Dick.

all i know is that i bought it about 12 years ago for $4750.00 i think thats a pretty good investment return. found out the tool kit alone is worth about $800.00 its missing one wrench. had no idea that people would be fighting over it.

$9500 seems cheap, unless its a total basket case.

well i figure the engine needs to be gone through, not cheap. dash, tires. i figure the engine alone could cost upwards of $7000.00. anyway its the wifes and she says sell. shes driving a 1970 mustang that all restored and needs paint. i have a 55 ****** jeep with a balanced 350 sbc and a 90 harley softail custom. cant have it all, at least we cant have it all. plus still have my 90 ford lariat 4X4 and my chevy silverado. id love to keep the car but its really out of our price range to have to fix it down the road. and that price seems fair. now if you think its cheap then you have my post and can freely let people know about it. its listed on craiglist and i have plenty of pics.

How did we go from looking for a head shop to selling it?

My guess is that at $9500 the buyers don't care what the engine is like, 'cause it's a steal in any condition.

Were you thinking you were going to have to fix it to sell it?

.....and not to rub salt in your wounds, but.... I've helped a couple Europeans send long hoods back home that were in very questionable shape. They didn't think twice at spending $30,000 on the car and half again as much in freight and that much again in taxes.
