Post my first experience with Pelican Parts

Hello,I thought I would share with you my first purchase with Pelican Parts-I ordered a Bosch replacement glass fog light lens for my 1983-911SC,the drivers side was cracked.I ordered this lens via the internet on Christmas eve,if I remember correctly it was in the afternoon and I asked for priority mail,to my surprise today in my mailbox is the package,I opened it up,it was in great shape,I installed it and everything is fine, another happy customer!!!I have used Paragon Products and Zims in the past with great results also, and now I have a third vendor that I trust, its nice to share good news with others.Happy New Year to all. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

I'll second that - on December 24th I ordered four items from Pelican and noticed I forgot one thing and consequently had to place a second order. I called yesterday to ask them to combine the two orders to save freight cost and they already had it covered; advised me that all items were scheduled for shipping under the same freight bill.

I will third that opinion. I have purchased many items from Pellican and have been VERY pleased with customer service, selection and price. They are probably my first stop when looking for factory parts.

I'll chime in and say I have only had good experiences with them too.

The only "problems" were when I ordered a Weiltmeister spring kit for my 914-6 and the kit supplied drill bit broke as I was installing the kit. I phoned them and they ordered another kit and sent me the replacement drill bit and billed me the for the new kit explaining that when they got the broken one back from me they would issue a credit.

I got the new drill bit and sent the broken one back but didn't get the credit, even after I phoned the returns guy Sam and asked him, he said he did the credit.

After looking through my bank statement there was no credit issued. I sent an email Wayne, the owner, and he promptly took care of it and said that something like this has happened before and they would have to review their process to avoid this kind of thing again.

Another "problem" I had was I ordered a fuel filter for my Carrera and they sent me some weird filter that wasn't mean't for automotive use let alone be put in a Porsche. I phone them and explained my car and what I ordered and what I had received were not the same thing. They sent me out the correct filter right away.

So, the long and short of it is if you have a problem they take care of you.

I have ordered a lot of stuff from them over the past year and these are the only two incidents that I have experienced and they were very professional and handled everything very smoothly.

I've used them for many parts needed for my Targa "transformation" over the past year. Always the right part, always on time or earlier. Also...a great BBS to boot.
