Very nice. I love the painted-crest center caps. Ed is right on with the short shifter...get rid of it.
If not already, join PCA (porsche club america) and get involved, we have a very active chapter here in NC. There is an open house at Renngruppe Motorsports just north of you (in Lexington) tommorrow discussing Porsche vintage race cars. They will be rolling out some of their collection and it will be a spectacular get together. I will have to miss it sadly.

Very nice! I like the color. I don't know, but that shifter might be simply an aftermarket shift boot and **** on an original shifter. I could be wrong though.

you may be right...given the door panels have been refreshed.

well the RS door panels, console delete, etc might suggest a short shifter imo. But the **** looks like a Momo, and the boot looks like one of those leather boots that you used to see in the Performance Products catalog.

That's a Momo **** and probably an AGLA boot. Nothing outrageous. I've got virtually the identical in Ruby.

I think he said he is considering the short shift kit, which is why I suggested saving the mobey-not worth it.

yes, it's a MOMO ****, and a leather cover over the factory shift boot.
considering the short shifter, but may be rethinking after reading some of the posts!

aha! Ed got it. As an aside, the factory shortened the throw at some point. I wanna say '85 or so? If you have an earlier shfiter, then installing the later style shifter parts is a "factory short shift" kit. It comes in a nice Porsche box and everything.

IMO money is best spent on a Rennshift, Wevo or Seine Systems gate kit is all that is needed. It isn't the throw, it is the vague 1-2 & 3-4 planes that are the problem, or potential problem. ie, the infamous money shift.

Hey guys I am new to rennlist too and to the Porsche community. I have bee a car/Jeep guy for a lifetime but bought my first Porsche in October 2010. Mine is lighter color than yours and is 1985 Targa i found on Pelican Parts. Drove it from Myrtle Beach to home (Newfoundland) in just under 4 days totaling just under 2500 miles and burned less than one litre of oil. No leaks, no problems and had a smile on my face the whole ride. Can't wait for spring!!
