Cookie cutter info?
Hi please excuse my ignorance on this topic and I am sure this question has been asked before, I just couldn't find it yet
What is the difference between 911 and 944 cookie cutters?
How could you tell them apart?

I am not sure you can. If you look at the Porsche Parts Catalog they appear to have the same part numbers.

Ok I was told by somone once that 944 cc were made from a diffrent material to 911 cc. was 944 standard size for all 4? Cause the 911's had wider in the back than the front.

Willie,
They are made from the same material and one looks at the offsets to determine whether they are for 911 or 944. Those figures are usually cast on the backside, close to the size numbers.

OK I have done some research on this and this is what I found this far for those who are interested
a '75 911 w/ cookie cutters would have only 4x 6x15 ET36
from '78 SCs were available w/ 7x15 ET23.3 in back and the 6s in front
the '74 thru '77 Carrera 3.0 & 2.7 also were available w/ the 6 & 7 x15 cookiecutters
The 911 used 6 in front, and 7 in the rear, the 944 used 7s all the way around.
All the 7s have the same part number. No distinction between 911 and 944 wheels.
