If anyone is installing a sat-radio in their air-cooled my shop found the perfect location for the antena pod. After trying it on the dash and other areas they settled on under the air inlet grill on engine lid. For some it may not work due to condensor coil but since I yanked my AC it is the perfect solution: out of sight, perfect reception.

First week rolling in the refreshed car and its a total grin.
