That is a nice one. Looks like the factory job and the extended rockers really do work with the slant.

Doug, I get the impression you are a real fan of the slant nose cars... do you think you might seriously get in the market for one some day?

There was a really nice low-mile factory slant turbo sold in this area a couple of years ago. Top notch and super-well documented car in every respect. Getting up close to it really gave me an appreciation for those cars.

EDIT: THIS IS THE WRONG VID

I'm a huge fan of the slants..... but my next Porsche will be one that has no smog testing requirements. (That is '74 or earlier.) Ultimately I'd like an orange 934 type car with my current engine. Well, w/50mm PMO's over big jugs and 12 plugs. If I knew I had a donor lined up my car would be gone tomorrow.

Now if I could just have this one I'd have all my boxes checked:

EDIT: This is the right one:

There is just something about Slant nose cars that hook some people. Once you have the bug you can never get rid of it. The factory slant Targa's do it for me, but they only made a handful. You can buy a really nice late model TT or GT3 for the money though, which is why I may buy this back

agreed
although some of them to my eyes seem to have too sharp a slant or angle, and look odd.. but when i see one that looks 'right', my god!

God's Porsches were fiberglas and had a zero as the middle number - 904, 906, 907, 908. 909.

Glad you didn't vote for the 94x, 95x, 96x, 98x....or models with a water pump

Well, as far as water pumpers... the 959 comes to mind as being up there...

One of my favorites - although I also like the Slants - guess I grew up in that era.

Also love the IROC cars - and remember watching that series on TV when I was a kid (which is why mine has turned into sort of a tribute car...)

958,962 are hallowed ground...and some had water pumps.
A factory slant is a must have in my dream garage, but it would be third or fourth tier.

For those who have not found it, the sticky in the 964 forum "America GS consolidated.." is a MUST read for the Porsche lover. It truly is God's Porsche.
