I was on my droid...

...and knew I'd stand corrected the second I hit post...

Check out the very last car on this website. Now that is huge on my list. I've seen a few done correctly, but surely they weren't one of the original 50.

I still need to finangle an invite to my friend's house to take pics of his factory Turbo 930 slantnose Targa. It's black, has a special fuel distributor, all handmade pieces in the front, special plastic headlight covers inside the trunk, special toolkit, etc. And has maybe 12k on the odometer. That thing is a time capsule.

I drive across town at least once a year and look at Automobile Atlanta's. I have to go over there tomorrow. I'll take a picture

Thanks Ed. It's peculiar that there are no "full" photos of the cars. very secretive. I do have a picture of one however.
I would imagine that someone who enjoys fabrication and machine work (exotic materials) like yourself could get a kick out of those things. It is over the top in a way that you kind of get over the color scheme.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that ain't no factory slant.

The ONLY way that GS 964 could be any cooler would be if it had transwarp drive and blade of armor. Maybe a cloaking device. But that's it!

agreed the sum of the parts isnt nearly as beautiful as the parts themselves

FWIW I called my material house and asked what a piece of Ti about 12x12x3 (guessing that would be about the right size for that torque converter on page 8) and material alone is just south of $5k - keep in mind there are plenty of other pieces in that converter... plus a LOT of machining, welding, balancing - must be the worlds most expensive converter
