Post Machine Shop recommendations in North East?

I am looking for someone to do some head work on my 3.2 and am looking for some recommendations on a shop on the east coast. Any suggestions?

Check w/Paul at Centex, located in Pennsylvania. He's well known for nice headwork...does a lot of work for race teams and such.

Sorry, I don't have his # handy, I'm at work...if you email me offline I can give you the info.

Hi Roamer,

The shop I used for my 3.2 heads was Exotech (Plaistow, NH) - Mark Nadler is the owners name. He does all his own work, rather then sending it out - and is a Porsche Specialist shop. You can take a look at his work in my Gallery for my recent rebuild here.... His e-mail address is prschmn@attbi.com

Hope this helps!

The hallmark of a good shop, these days, is a Serdi bench. This is a state-of-the-art machine for valve seat machining. I don't want to try to list the details, but you're risking your heads if the shop is still using the old fashioned stones, etc. Also, make sure you understand how the guides are going to be removed and installed. Most shops crack the heads doing this.

I send my heads to Bob at Atlantic Enterprises in Pitman NJ. All he does are heads. I just got off the phone with him just now. A set of 911 heads runs about $435 (new guides, seals, flycut sealing surfaces, set spring height, etc) and has a 2-3 day turnaround.
I've sent 3 or 4 sets of 911 heads to him and I've been very satisfied. He has the jigs for doing twin plugs.
