Default 1989 Porsce Speedster Oil Leak

Wanted to see if anyone can advise on what the correct fix should be.

Looks like it is leaking from oil galley plug.

Are you sure there is no oil higher up? You can try JB Weld on the plug.

Yes left overnight wiped down. Nothing above it is leaking. Seems like it is coming from the plug and accumulates on the one corner.

That is supposed to have an epoxy over it, and JB Weld is what is commonly used on cases that are cleaned for a rebuild. There are a couple of other spots that get the same treatment. Was that engine rebuilt? If not, who would have cleaned the material off-it looks like it was done recently-too shiny to me.

I wonder how tough it will be to get anything to seal there now? It may be the engine needs to come out and be inverted to seal it right. Only time will tell....

Better drain the oil b/f epoxy treatment.

I'd still think it's gonna weep, it's a low point.

Have faith my brothers..

Drain oil.
Clean the area.
Very lightly roughen up the plug and surrounds with 120 grit paper.
Wipe down with a clean cloth with Acetone or thinners.
Apply JB weld.
Let cure for correct time.
Refill oil.
Flog **** off it.......
