Greetings,
I also have a 928 and had some leather work completed by Paul Champagne. You may want to get to the 928 board and do a search for "champange". There are many pictures of his work ... including steering wheel recovers.
Regards,
Glenn

Thanks to Max, our son, for posting this. There was a lot great info on interior restoration. Well it was indeed a two owner Satin Black AE Coupe. I had it PPI'd at Eurocar Werk here in Houston and it did not do so well, looks like a pass. What a shame! Thank you Eric Anderson at Eurocar Werk, great job. The beat goes on looking for a 1986.5 to 1989 Coupe here in Texas.

Not to try to hijack this thread but are the 930 wheels the same diameter as the stock steering wheels on the '88 Carrera?
The reason I ask I was driving a friends '89 3.2 and he had a smaller Momo steering wheel. While I liked the way it made the steering feel more responsive, I didn't like the way the wheel "cut through" my line of sight to the gauges. The stock wheel diameter / placement of the gauges has all been designed together, just never realized it before.
Have been thinking that I liked the 930 look but have never seen one on a car.
Thanks!
Rob

I have a black / linen coupe - can't tell if yours is black/linen or metallic black/silk gray. IF you aren't concerned with originality then I'd look at the 930S wheel from AJ USA. Put one in mine and it was the 2nd best money spent on the interior. The best $ spent on the interior was to get a very good leather refinisher work on the seats. Made the car almost new!

another vote for the prototipo - it just looks right in these cars - after using mine - then getting in a regular carrera - I feel like I am driving a bus.
