Default Dummy dash lights flash_1990 911

Hello to all... first post.
I have a 1990 964 C2. Every so often when driving (seems to be getting worse) all of the 'dummy' lights on the dash come on then go off. Once in a great while they come on and I get a on and off beep and the only way I can get the beep and the lights to stop is to turn off the ignition and then back on. Anyone had this problem? Thanks in advance!

Thanks ivangene... i have posted it on the 964 forum. I have seen a post or 2 mentioning that if you have 100+ on these older cars that an ignition switch change is 'good prevent mant.' even if it does not fix a certain problem.
