Happy Porscheversary, Paul!

I'll be celebrating my 39th year of Porsche ownership on 2/28/11. I share your enthusiasm for the 3.2 Carrera. Check my sig...I've had many of the good ones over the years and the ones I like the best above all the others are the trusty old 3.2 Carreras.

They are arguably the last of the truly 'involving to drive' 911's (997.2 GT3 notwithstanding), and they are definitely the last of the 911's that are relatively uncomplicated and user-friendly to work on.

You made an excellent choice. Have many miles of safe and happy motoring!

Beautiful - I have to assume to comment on the color was a joke because THAT is a wonderful color for a 3.2 !!!

I am 3 months shy of a year in this and 5 short of 3 years in a P-car.....all things considered I hope to never be without one (or more) and my only regret is not buying one sooner

enjoy

I'm sure it was a joke as the responder's car is the same color (Venetian Blue) as the OP's.

Again, thanks everyone for sharing in my enthusiasm!

timothy:
Probably some of the best quality Porsches EVER built.
Agreed. My intention was to get one in the 87-89 model year range and I’ve been very happy with my decision.

Love your new avatar. Paul,
Thanks! I'm thinking it'll make a nice picture for my office wall.
Here's to many many more years of 911 intoxication
I am planning to be the caretaker of this car for a long time...

jack:
Wow! You certainly have had a lot of Porsches over those 39 years! May we all be so fortunate… I guess technically I’m on year 6 since I had a 951 for 5 years at one point.

Beautiful car! Venetian blue is one of the best colors. It looks like you have made a good purchase decision (i.e. bought a car in good shape) and have enjoyed it well.

Now, the true test of how badly you have the P-car disease: Did you find it easier to remember this date compared to your wedding anniversary? :-)
