Post Stock Steering wheel

Well, I am the proud new owner of a 1988 coupe, in almost perfect cosmetic condition and questionable engine condition (bad leak down results, runs fine ). We'll see how that develops.

The one cosmetic problem is the steering wheel is very worn and the cover is coming off. Is it possible to get it recovered? The wheel is blue, so the black cover from performance products probably would look funny.

My second choice other than the stock wheel is the 930 wheel from AJ USA, but I kind of like the four spoke wheel better.

Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats! Got my '87 about 16 months ago & have had great experiences so far. On the steering wheel; check AGLA - they have a solution, either restoration or a kit for you to do yourself. They advertise in Excellence.

I have a blue stock steering wheel that I just took off my '87 (replaced w/ a Momo Club Sport which I really like). It's in very good condition, and I was intending to keep it (so I could return to 'original')...are you interested?
Thanks...Keith

David--
If you want to keep it bone-stock, you can recover the wheel as Kevin pointed out. I have heard good things about AGLA, though never used them.

The other alternative is definitely the 930S wheel. I got mine from Pelican (they include the Porsche crest with theirs) and it REALLY looks sharp. Dressed up my whole interior and is very comfortable.

[B}It now looks like this: [/B]

Looked like this when I got it:

Purchased my first Porsche in January. That being an 88 Coupe. It had a Momo already installed. I thought it was a factory wheel until I opened the hood an saw the (ugly) factory wheel therein.
Get a Momo or the 930. You will not regret!
