Farting, then covering one's bedmate with the covers is a "covered wagon".

wow tough bunch here. How about that Kobe steak?

Thanks for the non-help. Highly valued. Maybe the question was just too tough for you.
Then post your OT questions there-quite simple. or, pay the paltry membership, and use the real OT, where you may find your answers.

Nope. Different kind of gentlemen over here.
Repainting a brand new car is a bad idea. You will instantly kill any intrinsic value. I say buy one with a color you can live with. A body shop is a painful environment for any car, keep out of there if at all posible. I don't get my stomach in a knot over the color of a new car I'm looking at, neither do most other people here in the 911 forum. Pick from the choices Lexus offers, or look at a different car.

Repainting a car in another color to any sort of what I feel is an appropriate standard is a very, very expensive undertaking. All the windows, trim, door panels etc. must be removed. Doors, hood and trunk should be removed so the hinge areas etc. can be done right. And then there is the engine compartment...

Actually, the only way to do a complete color change is to strip it down to a tub. Obviously this would not be done in 90% of the cases, so you end up with areas (like the trunk inners, engine compartment etc) that show the old color still.

I would not do it to a new car.

A "decent" repaint in the original color with windows out etc. usually is in the $5K (quite cheap) to $10K (more typical) range for a 911. Doing a color change will be a magnitude more expensive than that.
