He knows I am in El Paso and may be able to see if someone can swing by and look at it

Chuck, I encourage you to pull on the community anytime. The Porsche community is the best. However, if I may suggest, you edit your original post and delete the sellers personnal info, especially if your not comfortable posting your own info. A public internet forum is a bad place to have your personnal info floating around. Also, poney up the $18 for a Rennlist membership.

IMHO, it might be more appropriate to remove the seller's contact info, unless he has no problems with you posting it outside of the PCA website.

It might be better to just ask a fellow member for a "Rennfax" of a car you are looking at and to have that member PM you for vehicle owner contact info.
