I agree with Brett that blue colors change considerably with lighting. Mine is Baltic Blue which is very close to Venetian and I think this is Petrol.

FWIW - I googled Petrol Blue and came back with this photo...

I looked at that and bunch of others on MSN photo search and they are all over the place with what they call Petrol Blue.

As I remember it because I worked on a regular customer's Gray Market 930 that was Petrol Blue and it was DARK and non-metalic.

More like this

even this seems light for it

If you're into blue Porsches, you might find this link interesting:

The Porsche Blues

This is another blue not mentioned in that great representation of Porsche blues. It is called simply Light blue metallic or hella blaus

Often it is easier to confirm a color by the vintage--the model year. That was around in 1986. What year is the car?

I don't mean to resurrect a dead thread, but I was checking the color of my car this morning & it is Prussian blue metallic. (preussischblaumetallic)

For the record, here's a photo. It's very dark blue, and definitely has a "color shifting" property. This photo shows it well. At times, it looks almost purple, and other times (when not in the sun), it's a very dark blue.
