Is it possible not have a o2 sensor? The car has no cat and it passed emissions with the euro premuffler..
thanks,

Mr Evil... I'm still really new to the forum, and 911's but I have a euro car. I know that before they were shipped here they had no cat. And there was no O2 sensor connected. The O2 sensor and O2 control box was a part that was supposed to be installed when it was brought into the country...I just took mine out today. I don't know about the 944 car, but the 911 has an altitude sensor too, which I had that bypassed as well. Hope I was able to help you a little.

Mr. Evil, I believe that the O2 sensor box was connected to the DME. It was an aftermarket part that was put on when my car was imported to the US...it's a grey market car. It's kind of a cheesy looking plastic box with 4 wires that are labeled. They are, "O2 sensor", "control", "ground", "+12 volts". Aside from that I can't really tell you much more about it. The altitude corrector was I believe an aftermarket part installed when it was imported. I guess it corrects for air density but I really have no idea. That's just my guess. Hope this helps.
