I had the pleasure of instructing in a dead stock '80 SC. Besides the stock seats offering no support, I was amazed at how well that 3 liter did out there. I was impressed with how it went and performed. Just wanted to share!

I have been DEing my stock '85 Carrera for many years now. It has been a great car to learn on, just enough power, no driver aids, you learn to work the car with the steering wheel and your right foot.

I was thinking of buying a 911 SC For DE, and was hoping it wouldn't be too slow. Have the pleasure to drive many 2007 and 2010 911 GT3's on the track (client cars) but want a car I can DE on my own and unfortunatly dont have GT3 cash available.

I love instructing on the earlier cars (pre 1989) cause I can feel what the car is doing.

For comparison, the top competitors who raced over the weekend in the class were qualifying and turning fastest race lap times in the low 1.50's.

I have a 924S track car for you with a DE set up and is caged for you then! I know it isn't a 911, but nice starting track car.

A little track time never hurt any 911. To the contrary.
And with such products as the temporary wraps available, minimal risk. No worse than a public road, IMO.
