Arrow valve timing

Ok its down to this. Ive got all the parts for the engine and now putting it back together. can anyone out there help explain the way to time the cams when reassembly procedures in the book are very poorly done!? dont want to get it wrong and have to start over!!! Thanks Jim... bugmanfast4@msn.com
Oh by the way it is a 2.7 for a 1973 911s
