Is this wear on these brake pads normal?
Today I changed out all the pads on my '88 Carrera. All had the same wear pattern on the back side of the pad. The piston has a raised area on the leading edge and slightly digs into the pad metal backing.
The left one in the photo is the outer pad from the passenger front. The right one is the inner pad from the same location.
Is this normal?

Thanks guys... there are 2 more leaving today - FREE FREE FREE, I guess if I get some spare time at work I better knock out a few more....
I also have a brand new (to me) Hardinge Toolroom Lathe fully tooled. Just powered it up last week. SWEET MOTHER is it nice. I might have to knockout some of my steering column bushings as well
