Is there hope for the headroom challenged?

So - on the tall note...
I too am tall - however the person/s sitting in the passenger seat are going to be much taller - in the 6'6 category or so -
In the targa the headroom doesn't seem to be the problem - it is the legroom on the passenger side - is there a way to get that seat to slide all the way back, hitting the pretend seats in the rear? That way there would be at least a little more legroom -
Thanks!!!!

You can maybe delete the front seat and have the passenger(s) bring their own fitted seat to bolt into the rear, sort of like F1 race drivers.

You can pull the seats and redrill some holes further back on the sliders to give more legroom. I think there are actually two sets of holes in the front, and only one in the rear, so you only end up having to drill one new hole on each side. Pretty straight forward when you have a seat off.

I have three different 911's I am 6'6" tall and I fit in all them fine. Am I missing something here? All my cars are non sunroof cars 67 95 and a 99 Cab with hardtop.

All people are built different and have different preferred seating positions. In older coupes, the sunroof makes a difference.

I looked at 2 1985 911 targas this week. My head rests against the targa roof. And that roof is not too cushy to bump against when on the road.
So I guess I need a latter 87 model after they lowered the seats 20mm.
I stoped at the dealer today to see what he had.
My head pretty much rests against the roof in a 2010 Cayman even though it does not even have a sunroof.
But there is hope, I had just a smidge of room in a 2007 911. So I guess now I just have to wait a few years untill the prices come down

targa, etc
No problem! I am 6'7", and have been enjoying an 89 targa for years - plenty of headroom even with the seat in a nice upright position! I have the extended steering hub too. A sunroof delete coupe will fit you fine. RS Americas will work but will be out of your price range. 993 targa should be ok. Most cabs should be fine. I know this from experience. The internet has made finding these cars a lot easier! Good luck!

i do know the guy, and from his days in switzerland/canada he has always had 911's (present car early 80's 911 coupe), so expect he is referring to engine/key components.....easy to confirm with good indy, no?
