911 hubs for bigger rotor
My friend is just about to finish new hub design which allows to use bigger rotor and bigger caliper under old ET 911's. Here's couple of poor quality phone pictures of this hub

What kind of rotors? Porsche? If so, those will be pricey. If the hub is meant to run something like a Wilwood, it could be interesting. Many of us run such on hats which bolt on to the stock hubs.

One piece Porsche rotors are cheap. Willwood is not interesting alternative, because they are not built in metric system. Most Porsche/Brembo calipers won't fit with Willwoods.
Original Porsche hub is weak and because it's structure is not possible to use if you would like to use 6-pot Brembo's under older 911's.
Oem "moped" caliper which can be found under older 911's is not so good if you track use your car.

Actually many of us use the Wilwood either the Wilwood Rotors HD (part number RH 160-3870, LH 160-3871) or Wilwood Directional GT (Part number RH 160-2526, LH 160-2527)
with a custom hat AND caliper adapter, they fit pretty well under 951 fuchs and hold up on the track with 993 calipers in the front and 965 calipers in the rear (with 930 rotors)
without a proportioning valve they provide a pretty good bang for your stopping buck.

Im also ordering hubs for my -87 from the same guy. He is building a kit for my 996 n/a calibers that i have. I also wanted to use 996 rotors.
I dont think that the price will be that bad. About 1000€ for the hubs and the caliber adapters.

Here's a picture of the assembly with 996TT 330x34mm rotor and caliper fitted to 911 '83 steering knuckle. Negative wheel offset is compensated with the tiny spacer so the original wheel set of the car will fit after the brake modification.
There are some reasons for the new hub design:
Like Olli said - an Aftermarket one piece rotors are very much cheaper in Europe than a same size Wilwood's. Bigger 350x34 rotor can be used with the hub as well. Porsche OEM hubs are expensive. Some of my customers will install only Porsche brake calipers and rotors to their cars so the new hub design was the only way to upgrade the brakes.
And don't you think the removing old and installing a new rotor is very much easier and nicer when it's installed on instead under the hub?

Nice! So does it uses the same bearings/races as the stock hub? Can you show the caliper mounting and spacing without a wheel, the back side of your mockup picture. Is the stock front rotor on a 996tt one piece? I thought they were rotor and hat type.

I don't think anyone is going to use stock wheels over a 330mm rotor. Maybe these will be a hit in Europe, but I put 4 piston 993 calipers, adapters, 23mm m/c, 309 x 32mm rotors in front/hats, for about $2k.

I will post you more pictures soon.
The one good reason I'm not using any Wilwood rotor is this: The profiles of Porsche Brebo calipers brake pads are very high. I have not found any good size brake disk from Wilwood to use. That's why I have been using 993TT front rotors with Big Reds and 996T / GT2 / GT3 front rotors with big monoblock 4 or 6 piston calipers.
With my experience the only Wilwood disk what you can use with 993TT(Big reds / Big Blacks) calipers is GT 48 Curved Vane, 160-2526, 160-2527 and it cost as much as 993TT front rotor. I rather use a Porsche type(Sebro, Zimmermann) rotor than a Wilwood rotor in my solutions.

I think that it's a great idea to make hubs that allow the use of late rotors on a 911.
the 993tt front is a great example as are some of the 996/997, it will also allow the use of the equivalent Gyrodisc rotors in 322, 330, 350 & 380mm sizes. Many of us like these as they aren't drilled and ill last longer than Porsche oems. I go through the 993tt fronts every 20 days or so
