Default Question on '87 interior

Looking at a local Cassis Red Cab and was wondering if 2-tone leather was an original option in the car...
Thanks!

you might check the options code list, should be a sticker under the hood (front)..... it would tell alot if you post a picture of it

Thanks it looks like at least the center parts of the seats had new leather - but they did a decent job. Well if my mechanic OKs the car I might be joining you. I never thought I would own another Porsche - but the prices are just sinful right now. These cars are worth more than what they are getting for them. I guess in this economy it is a toy buyers market.
I still need to get over the purple-y look of the car. It is beautiful, and in amazing shape but a little girlie even if I am a girl.

Nice upholstery job! If you're buying it to drive and enjoy like I did, authenticity isn't that important. Go with what you like.

The steering wheel also isn't stock. It's from a 930 S Turbo model...a popular aftermarket choice.

Good luck!

I don't believe that's an OEM 930S wheel, looks like a repro. The OEM wheel has an embossed Porsche logo, not a metal crest, and no glued seams.

Looks like someone made a flush mounted face plate for it.

I guess when I am driving it at 140 I'll just have to find a cute guy passenger who is willing to keep the cigar going Ed...

I buy to drive Helios59 - but, looking for fodder to knock down the price - the words 'weird non-stock' are always good for a few hundred. Plus, this color combo has to be good for another decent reduction in price - along with those questionable wheels - no Fuchs to be found anywhere near this car.

That's still a really nice looking car. I almost bought a Cassis Red '87 coupe.

Keep us up to date!

Wow that really is purply. I think it would be a great color for a girl though. Someone spent some dough on the leather.
See if you can get them to include a ciggy lighter. The older ones are NLA. And what is that light for next to the tach?
