I assume Thomas and Franz will have a Mic on?

I'll be there in the avnet tent or the Porsche tent with my dad. I'm going to try to do the Porsche lap on thursday but not sure if it will be in the SC or 964

I live 15 miles from the track but missing it this year for Octoberfest. I nearly drowned last year!

Ed,

I do not live too far from the track and the only thing I would do different is get a hotel near the Mall of GA. It is a long haul from the airport and the Mall of GA is a much nicer area to stay. I am unfortunately not going and will not be around otherwise you could stay at my place.

Thanks, but I land at midnight, so near the airport is best. I take off early Sunday, so that takes care of round 2. I've got a Hyatt room for a couple of nights, which makes the most sense. I'd rather get up real early and drive to the track than do it after a long day. My life has been a travel marathon all summer.

What does local knowledge suggest as some of the better viewing points at the track?

The PorschePlatz is a great location overlooking Turns 10A-B with a view of the back straight, plus there is a tent, chairs & tables, TV, the Porsche Corral, and various "visitors" come to talk. Oh, and the Patron tent is just across the street in case it starts to rain again

There is also Spectator Hill at turn 5 with a complete view of the Esses. You can get REAL close to the track at Turn 2-3-4. Seriously though, you should hang out at the PorschePlatz and venture out to the rest of the track during the day.

I'll be there, unfortunately the 911 is in need of a clutch and a top end, so I will be Porscheless this year.

I am going to put a Pelican Parts sticker on my hat with my screen name "aj88cab". Say hi if you see me.

I'll be there. Setting up camp on Wednesday..staying 'til Saturday on the field.

I am hoping to be there super early on Thu - so I can get in the Parade. I live about 10 minutes away...either way, the car will be in the Corral. I will be manning a tent close by the Porscheplatz. Should have a Cisco flag on it.

Stop by for a drink if you can.

Was there a final consensus on meeting time/day?

Greetings all. I will be heading over on Saturday, I just tried to get a Porsche Corral parking sticker for the C4, and I guess they are sold out. Anyone with an extra they are not using? any chance of getting one at the gate?

If they say they're gone, they are. Finite number that go well before the week of the race.

Ahhh the coolest sound tonight......I live about 10 - 15 miles from the track and as I lay down in my bed with the windows open I can hear the roar of the engines. Great weather we are having down here.
