I have posted this before but still haven't been able to solve this.

I am attempting to re-attach my wiper motor. My car is a 77 911. I don't know what wires go where in order to make it work.

CAR WIRES
black/purple
black yellow
red/white
blue white
green
brown

WIRES ON MOTOR with #s
black 53i
brown 53a
red 53b
yellow 53e
green 53
and a ground coonector on the side.

I just don't know what goes where to make what work.

Does anyone know which wires are for what?

Shawn,

A picture may be the easiest way to look at it. Here's the wiper motor (V) and connections to the windshield wiper switch (E) and intermittent switch (E38) and relay (J31). Brown wire is ground.

Bill thanks that is really great, but my only question is what wire coonnects to what on the motor? This is probably a really simple question, but is has me stumped.

the wiring on my motor looks something like this


green

yellow black brown

red

and there is a ground on the motor itself.

What wires from my harness go to which?

Also I have 2 other motors, how can I bench test these to ensure they work?

Shawn I'm confused.

You keep saying motor wires. There shouldn't be any motor wires. The car harness wires goes straight into a terminal block on the motor. They match the colors on the schematic Bill provided above.
Describe where the motor wires are coming from.

Yes thats true there is a block where they connect, but my wires in the car are loose, so I don't know which went to which. On the back of the terminal block there are wires in the motor.

I have figured it out from Bills diagram, I was just too tired last night to read #s to match. Sorry for the confusion and thanks a million Bill.
