OK, I get it. I'd do the same, offer some goods to drive some more revenue.

But, t-shirts at mostly $60 each, and even as high as $80? A fleece zip-up sweater for $165?

I'm sure that the Porsche-branded stuff costs a few bucks, but I don't think all of the garments are "logo wear".

I confess, I clicked.

Not that I would buy any of this stuff, but why would I choose the Rennlist store over the official online Porsche store when the same product at the Rennlist store is way more expensive?

911 Mechanical Pencil @ Rennlist store

911 Mechanical Pencil @ Porsche store

Another example:

Speedster T-shirt @ Rennlist store

Speedster T-shirt @ Porsche store

I'm all for IB making some money so that they can continue to operate/improve the site, but I'm pretty sure that Porsche is making a profit on the products at the prices they're selling them for, so anything above that just seems like gouging. Call me crazy, but as a paying Rennlist member, I'd expect to be able to purchase products at a discount from the Rennlist store, not at inflated prices

Same shirt you can get at the Porsche dealership for $35.00 is $60.00 here. Bet they get a lot of sales.....

You know, I thought the same thing after I clicked. "T-shirt for $60?!" No way.

I've been trying to find a simple t-shirt with the Porsche script on it. I used to have an old one with a small "Porsche" on the left front and a large "Porsche" across the back. I keep looking but I'm not finding one. All I can find so far are overpriced t-shirts with a tiny barely readable Porsche script on the front.

Porsche has a lock on their fonts and name. You'll prolly have to pop for $35 at the dealer.

Yep, the profit monster is alive alive and well in the good old USA.
Those prices listed are little more than a crude joke.
We can soon get around those pesky little ownership restrictions that Porsche put on their products.
You guys will have to move a little closer to Asia, lot of supply for that sort of thing if you must have it.
Asians don't give a sh!!t what Porsche would think.
The high priced T shirts etc. in the US are probably being supplied by Asians anyway.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with profit.

But, these prices are a joke, and somehow I think RL is getting 100% of nothing-I can't believe they sell much, if any.

What do you mean "we can soon get around...."? You almost sound like you're rooting for the Chinese or Vietnamese, or whatever. I doubt Porsche is going to let up on protection of their trademarks. They are voracious in the pursuit of offenders.

Just an an FYI all, an outside company runs the Rennlist store, Not IB and we have addressed the "pricing" with IB, we have also asked for some Rennlist branded merchandise at reasonable cost.

Ed, I agree with you. Production costs are soooooo low in India/China, Guatemala etc, you just feel ripped off when you pay that high of a price. The other day I went shopping with my two daughters to a popular clothing store for preteen girls and was shocked at their prices for just regular T-shirts made in China and Burma. I refused to buy them stuff there...then came their reminder: How come you get to have two 911's dad and we heard that they were expensive cars. I had to give in to their request..oops demand Just hoping that this would not be their trump card every single time.

that's an easy one to fix - just show them the label and country of origin... then tell them when they find clothes made in Germany, Italy, France, Canada ect.... they can have those....

err... wait, that might be counter productive to your bottom line
