Post best OEM source?

Who is the best OEM source for parts? I've heard rumors of some dealers offering huge discounts...does anybody know of these people and are they reputable? Thanks in advance...rayjay

It all depends on what's important to you. If you want lowball prices and no service, check out http://www.eurowebparts.com or http://www.vertexauto.com

Other companies like http://www.pelicanparts.com may have slightly higher prices, but they offer experienced tech support, and if you have a problem they will actually work to resolve it.

As I said before, it all depends on what's important to you.

I'd suggest there is no one source that's the best on everything. For Porsche-direct parts, try Hendrick Porsche, as they discount 20%-30% and often are lower than non-Porsche vendors (plus there's the Porsche 2 year warranty). Other vendors I've used and would recommend are Paragon Products (www.paragon-products.com), Foreign Intrigue (www.foreignintrigue.com) especially during their Jan/Feb sale, and Performance Products (www.performanceproducts.com) especially during one of their 20% off sales, and I'm sure others won't be shy about who they like to deal with. Any of these companies are reputable. Both Kenn at Hendrick and Jason at Paragon are as above-board-bend-over-backwards-for-the-customer as they come, and if something goes amiss, will do the right thing for you. There are some that don't rise to the top of my list (unless they are the only source for a part), particularly those who charge a 3% credit card fee, which in itself wipes out some price differences. Shipping and Handling you need to look at too, some charge for boxing things up, and other don't. Another consideration is where vendors are located, as that impacts shipping expense.

I'll second Bill Gregory's nod to Hendrick Porsche. Kenn Young and Co. do everything they can to get you what you need. They'll always keep you up to date on your back-orders as well. For OEM Porsche stuff, I always call Hendrick. Kenn's prices are hard to beat. Like Bill G. said, 20-30% off true retail every time. For performance and aftermarket stuff, I shop Pelican and Performance Products. Pelican's website, as well as Rennlist, is an invaluable source of tech. information.

I give Ken Young at Hendrick two thumbs up. He has come through on every order. And when a part arrived damaged he had no problem in sending a replacement. Very pleasant people to work with.
Very good pricing also, alot better than my local dealer.

I've always gotten good service from Vertex. On the rare event when there has been a mistake, they've gone above and beyond to make it right for me. Those guys know 911s too, you don't need to have part ##s for them to send the right thing.
