Default Oops (Carrera 3.0)

One day many years ago (1977) I was heading to the factory and unfortunate for the Carrera 3.0 (77) in the adjoining lane a large truck didn't stop in time. Ironically, the factory is about 100 meters to the front of that car! What a sad day for that woman (speaking to a Politzei officer).

Yikes.

From the looks of the truck bumper, that wasn't its first meal.

Carrera 3.0? Sure looks like no flares and 6" wheels. In any case, no harm in there being one less 2.7L car on the road, even if it was near new.

It was a Carrera 3.0--those rear wheels are 15 x 7s. (Which came on the 3.0s) A sad day indeed! Ahead on Schwieberdinger Straße was the factory--in the days before the overhead bridge for the bodies. 150 meters from Werk I!

while you are correct that the std Carrera 3.0 wheels were 6 & 7 x15 w/ 7 & 8 x15 optional, i've got to agree that isn't a C3. C3 used black not chrome trim and most(probably all) C3 would have had a rear wiper.

still very sad

Right, on second take. ARE those rears flared? Now I'm confusing myself.........

GothingNC's avatar shows the Carrera 3.0 flairs. Recall that a 911 flair is virtually nonexistent.
