The dealer which has Euro 83SC that I'm looking at doesn't know for sure if the car has upgraded chain tensioners or not, but is willing to get a PPI done for serious buyers.
Is there anyway I can recognize upgraded chain tensioners on a 911 compared to the regular ones before the PPI? This would definitely save some time in thinking about whether to purchase this vehicle or not, and would obviously be taken into consideration when giving a bid for the car.
Thanks in advance.

There will be an oil line going into the timing chain cover. There are some good pictures in the <a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_carrera_chain_tensioners/911_carrera_chain_tensioners2.htm" target="_blank">Pelican Parts Tech Article.</a>
