seriously its WAY better now.. I fixed the entire shift assy which was in BAD shape and WAY out of adjustment - your comment about mine -vs- yours made me get off my back side and work on it... you gave it a 9 and yours a 10... after repairs.... I evaluate my "before" as about a 5 or 6... it was rough and sticky, not anymore... super smooth!!

thanks for the incentive

Ed, I would now rate my gear box an 8/10 now that I've spent more than 20 hours behind the wheel. The overestimation was related to the initial wow factor of the new car. But I'm glad it helped you in a positive way to improve your gearbox. That's why this forum is not a waste time for many (if not all) of us.

so the good news is... I know how to adjuct it now !! - if you get some downtime, I can walk you thru removing the coupler and mailing it to me, I will build you some custome bushings and then help you install it... its not hard, but there are a couple "tricks" and in my case I had to do it with the shift boot off to see what the heck i was doing...THEN it made sense (sorry OT on your thread)

back to Crests - I didnt notice the early ones had gold letters and the later are black - so good info gained!

Reminds me of the " slippery when wet" album cover ..
I actually took that shot at the ALMS race in Mosport Park. I remember it well as it was the first running of the ALMS Penske Porsche running in Canada that year..

Ice. What a shot. Spectacular. The clarity of the image, condition of the paint, badge and the beading of the water (I am guessing a recent wax lob)..I'm speechless. Thank you.

Oops! Sorry 'bout that. But, yes, these threads are great fun.

Re the crest - I am crestfallen (couldn't help it) that my 3-spoke horn pad with the gold embossed crest has broken at the attachment points. I heven't been able to find a like replacement - most just have a monochrome crest.
