I am polishing the spokes on my 15x6 fuchs wheels but need suggestions on how to repaint the black background. Any good "over-the-counter" sprays? enamel? lacquer? would I be better off to get them reanodized?
thanks,

Anodising is over the bare aluminium (it is now gone where you have polished them). You don't need to renew it - you will just have to polish the spokes periodically as they oxidise (which the anodising prevents). To reanodise would require stripping the wheels of paint, deanodising, polishing, reanodising, then painting.
I used (and would recommend) Wurth High Temp Matt Black Lacquer. It actually comes out satin black. I didn't use primer but haven't had the wheels on the car so don't know how it stands up.

When I overhauled my wheels, I had them glass bead blasted. I then polished the rim area and had the rest of the wheel (including the backs and tire seatig area) powder coated. The finish is hard as nails, has just the right lustre, and should last forever.
Total cost about $200.00 for four whels.
