I just found one of my old threads and realized I never posted what corrected the problem.

The front wheel hum was indeed coming from the brakes as the piston was not retracting all the way. Cured with a pair of restored calipers.

I've had this, in fact mine's doing it now. I think brake dust can build up and cause it.

I was in the process of rebuilding my calipers and when I took them off it was evident that the seals needed replacement. The rebuilding kits are very inexpensive, less than $20 and it doesn't seem to be a difficult task.

I ended up sending mine out for different reasons. I guess if it's brake dust you can try cleaning the calipers like Rusnak says or taking them off and cleaning them thoroughly and see if that clears the problem.
