When a company doesn't spend much money on abrasives, the labor to use such materials, or masking tape and paper-I suppose its costs are reduced dramatically!

WOW - tough croud!
I had the front re-done on the 996 and it was very expensive. ($4k) I replaced a hood that was dented from shutting on a box (before my time) and re-aligned the front from a previous acciedent (before my time)
after I sold it, it met a curb and had to be re-re-done....the paint is not worth more than the car, but its getting there!

I knew someone that worked at Earl Scheib right out of high school. He said that if the car was ONLY getting painted with the $99.95 paint job and had no additional body work being done, they were only allowed to use 1 piece of sandpaper per car!
