Default Second DE at Thunderhill

Here's a vid clip from last Friday at Thunderhill Raceway Park. This was my second track day but first time running T-hill in a clockwise direction. It took a couple of sessions to figure out the new line but I had a blast. The car is working great and I'm really happy with the suspension setup. Sound is just wind noise and I'm still playing with the editing but you get the idea.

Pretty track, pretty day, pretty car...you seem to have a smooth style and consistent "line". thanks for sharing.

That looks fun. Where did you have the camera mounted-outside?

You need a nice throatly muffler for the soundtrack.

This is the GoPro HD camera mounted on the cowl between the windshield wipers just in front of the windshield. It came with a nice suction cup mount with a lot of adjustment. I've experimented with several camera angles and this one seems to give the best overall view of the road with a little glimpse of the car for color. I also have some shots taken from inside the car that captures engine sound. Overall it's a good camera for the price but the sound capture is pretty useless when mounted in the slipstream outside the car. I'll post some of the in car stuff later. Yes, an M&K is on the wish list for the soundtrack!

I like the setup. However a harness mounted camera allows you to review what YOU were doing along the way. Thanks again for sharing. M&K is a nice piece.

I was going to say the same thing-being able to see your movements in the car may help you correct bad habits, or figure out what went wrong in the case of a spin or agricultural excursion.

It is also probably safer keeping the camera in the car.

I'm surprised the PCA ***** would let you go out with a camera mounted by suction cup to the exterior of your car. Was it also tethered to a windshield wiper arm?

TH is fun in reverse! May be obvious, but it's a completely different track.

Turn 9 is a different kind of scary when it's backwards.
