Default Dilivar headstud nitemare

Which one of you guys have had the pleasure of drilling out dilivar that is broken flush with the engine case? I don't think it's possible. This will be the first one that I have to disassemble and ship to the machine shop. This stuff laughs at carbide bits. And, there are way better studs out there! Good Grief!

I spent $40 to get one stud welded and taken out. He said he got it in a few tries. The heat from the weld helped also. You can build up a weld to get a nut on it.

No, but it sounds like a pain. When I redid my case a couple of years ago, the Dilivars actually didn't look bad, but I did replace with Supertec's headstuds. Most expensive "bolts" I've ever bought.

That works as long as there is enough material to weld onto. If not, its EDM time.
