the article on PP was a dead ringer.... easy step by step, printed it out and stuck it in my cars paperwork

today I finished my second valve adjustment...

this is a very simple process now....a couple hours with some ball throwing for the dogs and lunch in there too...I dont have a CAT anymore and that alone was a huge improvement in space...also without my stock air box, and I have pulled the AC off a few times now so these all made it really easy...

I chose to not drain the oil, (not due for a change) so tilted the car....the tick there is you have to rotate the motor around twice as much, but its simple enough - all in all I had only 3 that needed to be adjusted and they were so close I could have let them go...but I didnt

I figure about 10k+ miles but about 4 DE's and 10 autoX's - was more of a good feeling than a "needs to be done" but the timing worked out so I did it....

Agree with Brett, they seem to hunt at idle when cold and adjusted to the rich side about 3 to 4 CO when, with cat, you want about 1 CO or slightly less. If it runs smoothly when warm porb not a vacuum leak.
