Although ANYTHING is possible, the positive steering offset of the 67-89 911's do not need power steering, IMHO.
If you are after a lighter steering effort, you can reduce the caster settings and raise the front tire pressures a little bit.
The negative steering offsets of the 964 and later chassis need power steering to reduce the efforts from the much wider tires found on these cars.
