Default Tranny temp

Every felt the tranny after a drive... I went about 3-4 miles and had the car up in the air, that sucker felt pretty hot to me....

I have a trans temp gauge, and my opinion is that you want a cooler if you track it. Nothing you do on the street is going to get it up high enough to worry about. On the track, I've seen my trans temp higher than my engine temp -- which is not good, since gear oil breaks down at a lower temp than engine oil. On the street, no issues at all.

Thanks.

180 or so is as hot as I've seen it in aggressive street driving.

Without the cooler running, I've seen it go to 260 on a track.
