These were on a 1984 944 I had purchased and they have the original Patina on them, minor curb rash on 3 out of 4 lips! They are all straight and true, the rear 15" x 8" were moved to the front and the 15" x 7" fronts were sent out to have some extra wide lips welded onto the outside radius. Most likely more than 10 years ago as the Anodizing on both of them has been painted over but now is faded off! Center caps included, and overall I would call these in better shape than most with a few hours of light scuffing, taping off, primer and top coat you could paint centers to match or restore to gloss black!

Tires are matched Falken 205/55 15 and 225/60 15 with around 25% life left. They are around 3 years old with 15k miles, they are not cracked at all and still soft!

Part #s match, option code sticker on car showed these ordered and date codes show middle of 1983 which all matches build so these were original to this '84

Those offsets look all wrong for our cars ... any idea what the offsets are ? personally I think you are high for 15" wheels that are not even close to being nicely finished .. and the rubber is toast anyway.

FWIW, I've been searching for a set of 15's for my 74 (7's and 8's) and am having a helluva a time finding a set. Having said that, there's a local guy who refinishes them and is selling them for the same price (completely refinished). 16's are much easier to find and can be had for quite a bit less from what I've seen. Most people don't want the 15's so you really have to search for a buyer.

I don't know where you go to look at wheels, but those AREN'T "better than most" I've seen.

I'd think the 944 offsets would not be right for a 911.

944 offsets are the same as 911's through 1986. You can see these even have 911 part numbers. 1987 is when the high offset wheels started.

So..these would have fit an SC or Carrera, until the 7's were widened to 9's. You'd need some turbo/ST/RSR flares to fit these.

You might want to post the backspace on the 9's so people can do their own calculations on the offset.

For something like an ST replica these'd be very cool.

Hey I had no idea on the price as I have never sold a set and have never seen 15" x 9" fuchs for sale!
I believe that the jury is out and the price is set to high for most of you guys.

However Im not sure why some of you feel the need to be rude about it. Why dont some of you guys actually listen to what you are typing before you lay it down on the computer screen???

I saw 16" x 7" x 9" wheels in the same shape going for $1500 so I thought this might be a good starting point!

Secondly as the 7" fronts had wider outer lips installed that means the offset did not change they just grew wider by 2" on the outside correct??? Part #'s coincide with the Porsche PET for offsets!

For a data point I sold a set of 7 and 8 x 16 Fuchs in nearly perfect shape (no tires) to a fellow Rennlister about 2 years ago for $1000 (no caps), plus shipping.

Yes, the rudeness is uncalled for. Your wheels are definitely unique, and not for everybody. Let's say you put modern, cast wheels on your classic 911. Well, I think that's ugly, but I wouldn't crap in your thread over it.

Anyway, adding 2" to the outside does change the offset, because the offset references the centerline of the wheel. (only if you added width equally to the inside and the outside would the offset not change.)

Original offset was 23, I'm guessing yours ended up around 0, but an actual measurement of the distance from the mounting face to the inside rim edge would help.

15x9's are indeed rare and valuable. Yours aren't real 15x9's of course, but weld ups are an acceptable way to modify fuchs. Any idea who did the widening? That could certainly make your sale easier. Maybe send a pic to Harvey Weidman, he's a well respected fuch restorer who has welded up wheels for years.

thnks for the data Edgy I see alot of 7" x 8" sets going for around $800 - $1200 depending on condition but seeing a matched set of 8" x 9" is very rare.

Great input Tod thnks as well, I like those RSR genuine 9" rears, and it looks as though these wheels Im selling are almost identical to those except of course the fact that the rears have work done on the outers to match them! I have a few people interested I will get some measurements, but just to be clear the dimension from the mounting face to the inside lip did not change so I will get a dimension of overall width with reference to the mounting face correct??

IMO the wheels will sell to the one who wants them rather someone says they dont like them or not - I buy many things and when I see what I want and the price makes sense to me, I buy it... sometimes while other people cant figure out why i am.... but it works for me...

so i dont think anyone was rude, but if you think I was I appologise. actually keeping any conversation going on a thread good or bad keeps it from getting burried/lost

My comment on the rudeness is the statement about condition. I really get tired of what I consider over-statements on condition. Plenty of pics were submitted, so I say call the finish like it is and let the potential buyer form their own opinion. These aren't better than most, IMO.

I remember the front fender on Pelican that was in "great condition, except for the rust hole at the bottom".
