Angry Keyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to kill someone

Just happened... I went into a parking lot to pick up the car, and I noticed almost immediately, as the paint WAS immaculate! Some bastard keyed the car. I feel like killing someone with my own hands... itīs a perfect lone scratch all along the rear wing, way above where any other car could have done it... so it was done on purpose...

Anyway. Is there anything I can do to repair/minimize the effect of the SOB? I must say the scratch is fairly deep..

The bastard must be beat severely. I hate haters.
With regard to fixing it, I couldn't tell you what to do besides having the wing re-painted. I feel your pain.

Carlos,

go to www.carcareonline.com, you will find a good "how to" article on the repair of paint chips (and scratches). it's a tedious task that you do in stages, but you can obtain very good results if you work carefully and take your time.

good luck.

So sorry to hear about that. Sounds like a good reason to bring back some old style methods of punishment, like having the offender being drawn and quartered! Of course, instead of using horses, we'd use 911's!

The problem though isn't necessarily extracting Vengence/Tribute from the wretched miscreant, it's finging the SOB in the first place!

I feel you your pain, the same thing happened to my Porsche about 10 years ago. However I knew who did it since it was a friend of a friend. I did exactly what you want to do kicked his A$#, but honestly it did not help much, as the fender was still keyed. If I knew then what I know now I would not have worried about it and had my insurance take care of it. For you see I now know his life is a total waste. He keyed my car because I am hard working and succesful, the exact opposite of him. These people are lazy and can't stand that someone is willing to work for something nice, especially when it highlights his/her wasted life. The guy who keyed my car is now addicted to drugs, and cannot hold a job, been in prison etc. Most likely the person who keyed your car is the same. Don't worry about a little scratch it's just a car and your insurance should take care of it. But this guy who keyed your car will be a loser forever.

Be sure to find a really good body shop and you will never be able to tell. Then if the guy ever sees your car again and it's fixed, it will hurt him more than your fist ever would.

Hi

The SOB that did this to your car will probably to this again for kicks. Try this one for friendly repair shop. I recently brought mine in to Mike's Import Auto Repair in Lafayette, La. to have the A/C compressor replaced. He gouged all four of my Fuch rims, as deep as an 1/8 of an inch in spots for about 8 to 10 inches long. These rims were practly new, with not a scratch of any kind on them. Then on top of that added a nice big chip on the paint near the engine compartment. I can let you imagine what I wanted to do to him.

I know how you feel and would love to be on the committee to show him the err of his ways if ever you find the culpert.

This would have never happened if Franco was still alive and in power.

Druck,

You are completely right. Whith Franco we were only able to buy Spanish produced cars. So Carlos (and I) would not have the Porsches and would be driving SEATs.

The only foreign built cars around were the Mercedes that Hitler gave Franco as a present while trying to lure him into entering WWII (Amongst them an amazing 6-wheeler cross-country limo )

BTW I understand this board is friendly and the comment was just for fun. Mine is also, I am not into politics.

In the US court system, I would vote to acquit you on any charges.

Out side of the system, we would tie them down to to an anthill in the hot sun next to a solar powered radio that broadcast nothing but... Dr.Laura.

Paco,
Remember the Renault Alpine A110, usually in blue, awesome car, Lancia Stratos, Simca Matra, BMW 3.0 CSL(aluminum body)all available during Franco's time. I saw a few RS's in Madrid back then, not many though.
Tourist plates made them more affordable.

Druck,

I was born in 1970 so I didn't see much of Franco anyway. As far as I recall my favourite cars in that era were the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 150, which were the only "different" cars that you could see regularly.

I agree with you on all the cars you mention, the problem was to ever see one of them!!!

Carlos - que putada!!!!

This is bad news and is one of my worst nightmares. I know we should not be so attached to our motors, but I personally cant help it. I have now managed to insure mine "third party, fire and theft", which initially they refused due to the age of the car - duh!!! So now I can sleep in peace

what annoys me most about this whole episode, is that our cars are not the most expensive cars out there! although they probably attract more attention, your averave large family saloon will fetch more money. on the other hand, our cars are usually paid in cash with hard earnt cash - not on tick (loans). this is annoying...

anyhow, life continues - I guess - but I am really sorry to hear it Carlos.

btw. anyone know the secret of changing our avatar - I want to have my own uploaded piccie - any ideas???

cheers
