Not sure how a red targa with 2 owners and non stock (see radio) version compare to a silver targa, 1 owner, 100% original in showroom new condition. I've been up to Sloan's a couple of times...great guy. I spoke to him about this car. His number...$30,000...it is THAT nice and has a great "barn find" story.

If he doesn't have to sell it, then "offer it to the market" and see what the market brings. Price it at $35,000 (if he will be happy to sell at that price). If the market ain't bringin' it, he can always put it back in his garage. I don't know anything about selling at auction, but they seem to bring silly money. Maybe try that avenue. Or, if you know Mr. Sloan, why not consign with him? I always thought their asking prices to be sky high, but if he gets 'em, then great.

In my opinion almost 40,000 miles is way beyond collectible status miles, however.
