Anyone know where to buy 911 Instructional DVDs?
I would like to purchase some 911SC or mid to late 80s Carrera videos. Looking for anything to do with the history, maintenance or restoration. If anyone knows where to buy such a thing please let me know. Earlier or later stuff would be ok to, but nothing newer than 964.
Would be nice to watch in my spare time while I decide what the buy when I get home. Thanks!!

i dont think such a thing exists unfortunately. I havent ever come across any despite being an avid Porsche forum browser ! Have you tried You-tube? Surprising what some people video on there and may be individual tasks recorded on film, though would think its rare.

I never thought of youtube.
I went there and did some searching. There is some good stuff. Engine drop video, cylinder head refacing and lots of other stuff. I searched Porsche 911 engine to find that stuff.

There is stuff all over YouTube....if you are technically inclined you can get the factory manuals on DVD. There are tons of books though...hit "Porsche" on Amazon and you will find more books than you will know what to do with.
Good Luck with your search...

TV show
The history channel used to run a show called "Automobiles." There was a great 1 hour special on the 911. I used to have it saved on my tivo. Mabee you gan get it on the history channle web site.

Try this. You can volunteer your car for a video and they will fix it and show you how in the process. Interesting.

Yellow Cap Garage looks like it might be a good source of info if they get around to adding more stuff. Doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic there right now. I'll have to keep an eye on that one.

Absolutely. One of the members here has been gracious enough to lend me a few. They are in the mail now and will get read from cover to cover multiple times I am sure.
