Default 1987 911 cab for sale in Santa Barbara

http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/cto/1603551488.html

Affiliation is that it is my car so I won't comment on the car itself. Others can comment if they wish. I really do need to sell it this time I know people are going to dig into me for listing it again but my parents need the money to save their house. Thanks for viewing.

Recently had schneider autohaus inspect it. All work has been taken care of except that they said the clutch is starting to engage high....so maybe a clutch in the next year or two...putting that out there so there aren't any surprises. The car shifts fine and there is ZERO slippage....just saying it might need one in the next 10K-15K miles.

Thanks Doug, you going to Ed's drop party?

What really sucks is that I really wanted a 993 and was looking, but now it must wait.

I'm trying to swing going to Ed's. We went by your place again not too long ago. Stayed right on the water. I can't believe how many dolphins we saw. See my avatar...

Good luck on this and you get more than a few points for pitching in to help your folks. That will come back to you in the future.

Got a friend looking for a driver level G50 cab, but that removed A/C makes it a non-starter..........

Sorry to hear you're off the 993 hunt.

Yea the 993 will have to wait for now, found a guy who owns a 88 cab and wants another one so he is coming to see it tomorrow. He loved the fact that I've put so much work into it, and recently. He also loves the heritage so having mechanic stamps all the way from 17K miles to 117K miles made him happy. He is a real enthusiast so I hope it goes to a good home. He was peeved by the A/C but since I still have most of the parts he didnt mind. I feel stupid for having thrown away those expensive condensers though! I found that through used parts you can get the A/C and heat going again for less than 700 bucks. Once this is over I might hop into a 993 with my brother.

If you need a rear condenser, I might have one. But if it's still there, I probably cut the ends off to make my current one when I got the tail w rear wiper. It was not flushed, and I have not pressure checked it. I imagine it could be flushed and brazed if it leaks. I don't have a front condenser.

No way!!! congratulations on the good sale. Now get your butt down to your parents place and don't stop and spend it on hookers or camgirls.

Money was not spent on hookers Doug. I did use some of my savings to buy a honda civic though. Nifty little bugger.

Some guy from Agoura Hills bought it. He had an 88 cab already and is shipping either my car or the one he already has off to the motherland. Munich I believe. Funny part was when I went to my parents to pick up the cab boot I found all the A/C and heating parts I THOUGHT I had thrown away. When he drove my car he said "wow the drive train pulls way better than my 88, maybe I'll keep this one and send mine off to my friend in Munich". He ended up taking it away for 16.500 He seemed like a nice guy.
