My limited exposure to the M&K has me sure that they are a superlative piece and they sound very close to the Monty and have top-notch build quality. My $.02
I have been looking for a Monty for the last two months. It's what I ran on my '85. I have a daily search saved on eBay even. No luck. I wish I could find a distributor.

1stgear.... check the post today for the 2-in,2-out for sale. Probably not what you need on a Carrera though. M&K will give you what you want I feel certain. To many discriminating owners are happy with their products to second guess them; thats my gut feeling. It would be my only choice between that and a Monty, and if the Monty is not available...
I love spending everyone else's money on Rennlist. LOL
Good luck.

I don't feel like waiting 3 mo. to get that bypass correctly welded. I guess I can say bye bye to almost $400. F-me.

How is M&K on shipping? Do they stock their items or do you have to wait once ordered?
Welding SS only requires a SS rod or wire. I didn't want to go buy some expensive wire, so I took my bypass pipe down to a race car fabricator not far from my house. He welded it the same day (he interrupted his own work for me). I picked it up the next morning. I asked him how much and he goes "Ten bucks". I insisted that he take twenty. I got stack of dimes welding quality, and he got a free lunch.

Call up Joey at Fabspeed and ask him to make it right. Please post the response as we all need some humor in this forum

I have to post this. Every time I see cars on the grid ready to head out on track, I am reminded of the infamous "I was 7th" video. So, I thought I'd post up for you that haven't seen it. It's hilarious-the guy that edited it is a genius:

I have a M&K, one in, one out... I've got 10,000 miles on his muffler, for me it has just the right sound w/o any drone. Ben is a Porsche guy, gives great service. If I had a complaint it would be with his tip. I believe he's now providing a more aggressive tip at the owner's request, at an additional charge.

Thanks a lot Ed.

I had forgot about that Video. I am planning to do my first club race this April and I know thinking about "I was 7th" is going keep me up all night before the big day.

One dealing w/Fabspeed = no fit + 3 weeks runaround. Never again. MK for sure.
