Baptism complete! Thanks to everyone's input I survived my first 911 oil change with minimal mess. I can't find who to give credit to but the description of the oil draining like a "cow pissing on a flat rock" was spot on.
I ended up going with the Valvoline VR-1 oil and Mahle oil filter. Also, I replaced the tires and went with the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports.
So, she is ready for the road. . . . . now if only the weather will cooperate!

Ahhh...The flatrock analogy. Somehow stuck with me over the years. An old guy saw me pull the tank-plug on a 911 and made that comment. He was standing around the shop for some reason and was watching me change the oil on a 964('89-'94 911).
